Today we went to Oakland Zoo. We  arrived at the zoo at around 12:30, which was supposed to be my nap time. However, I was so excited that I couldn’t take my morning nap.
The first animals I saw were the flamingos; some were white and some were pink. One of them was flapping its wings. How exciting! I gave a nice smile to the flapping flamingo, thanking it for greeting me.
Then we saw Mikey the Monkey (a song mama just played in the car). Actually, it’s an Indonesian Siamang, which is an ape, not a monkey, as it had no tail. There were two of them close by, and one was looking straight at me. I guess my handsomeness is a universal quality.
Next was the most exciting part of the day — the goats and the sheep. I was at first scared of the pigmy goat. I couldn’t believe I was just a few inches taller than the tiny pigmy goat, but mama said that I was only one-year-old, while the goat was already full-grown. So I regained my confidence in height.
Once I patted it, I took my hand back. It wasn’t as soft as I expected (daddy said). Then I went at it again, now aiming at its back and then butt. Daddy told me not to touch its butt or it might kick. It soon turned back to look at me, and I almost touched its face, but mama said that there’s a warning that we shouldn’t touch its face or back (that’s hard – that leaves only the back to touch.)

There’s one poor goat that had kidney infection and got shaved. I was playing with it in the hay, but when we heard from the zookeeper, daddy picked me up right away — now is the time to steer clear from any sickness.
The last part was the G — Giraffe! When I saw them , I recognized them right away. I was in awe — I didn’t realize giraffes are so big! Mama and daddy brought our animal planet bag with us, and so I was holding my giraffe in my hand and looking and comparing. I was a little sad at first; would my giraffe continue to be my subordinate if it grows up to be that big? Anyhow, my fear was soon replaced by excitement. I also saw one giraffe drinking water. It spilled even more than I did! Too bad I was too sleepy at the end, and so I couldn’t remember much after that. It was quite hazy for me.

All in all, people said that Oakland Zoo was even nicer than San Francisco Zoo. SF Zoo was daddy’s and mama’s favorite zoo because of its compact size and exotic ambience. Though we didn’t think Oakland Zoo lived up to its hype compared to SF Zoo especially in the giraffe zone and the children’s zoo, we still had lots of fun. It was a great day for me, and I fell asleep like a baby in the car (well, you know I’m officially a tot, not a baby anymore.)
Then, I quickly looked like my usual self again. (mama บà¸à¸à¸§à¹ˆà¸² à¹à¸à¹‰à¸¡à¸ˆà¸°à¸›à¸£à¸´à¸à¸¢à¸¹à¹ˆà¹à¸¥à¹‰à¸§à¸ˆà¹‰à¸°)
P.S. Yesterday, I choked. It’s really scary and embarrassing. I’ll tell you later.
