Everyone notes that I’m a particularly observant child. I notice even the slightest changes in the house. For example, I’d always loudly remind mama that the microwave was beeping, the cabinet was left open, the bathroom door was left open, the dishwasher steamed, or there was something hanging out of the drawer. Daddy and mama always laugh and thank me; I think I’m doing them a great service.
Today is the Christmas day. Last night was the Christmas eve. I had a gift wrapped in a gingerbread wrap from Santa.
It was the clay for hand prints. Pretty cool. Compared to last year (top right), my hands got soooo much bigger!
We also walked to the park. On the way there, I met a fluffy cat from our neighbor’s house. It put on a rolling performance to amuse me. I really liked it. Actually, I didn’t know we have at least 2 cats in Bryant Court. The other day, a tiger tomcat gave us a visit while we were riding our plasmacar. I was so excited to see the furry creature for the first time. We followed it here and there, while it also followed me home and ate our shrubs. Mama was so naive again. She didn’t even realize the tomcat was approaching, but instead asked me why my eyes sparkled. Mama thinks that it might belong to Vachitus, the 2-year-old boy who has a hoot owl in front of his house.
At the park, it’s too bad I didn’t have as much fun as I had expected because I was having diarrhea from the stomach flu.
Today, we were looking forward to taking pictures with Santa, but he was busy feeding the reindeer and wouldn’t be back until 4:30pm. When nighttime came, I cried several times since Santa didn’t show up at our house either. Anyhow, when I woke up around 9am, I was quite surprised and happy to find daddy and mama sleeping with me. I completely forgot that I cried for mama several times last night though.
There’s one thing I didn’t forget. So when I woke up I told on daddy right away. I pointed at the plug, looked at daddy, and then made an upset face and sound. I repeated this many times until mama got it. Yes, I was playing with the plug, and daddy told me, “No! Jonathan, don’t play with the plug.” As I was testing the limit, daddy was teaching me that it was a serious thing and pat my hand gently but firmly. So I cried a lot. That’s the story.
Anyway, daddy and mama told me that we all make mistakes, and it’s okay. We don’t have to be very upset when other people remind us what we did was wrong. We should thank them, learn, and move on.
By the way, this morning, Santa finally showed up. I never realized that he was with me the whole time. Santa is the balloon! He got stuck last night, and he’s running out of air. Poor santa. Also, it turns out my elk is the legendary reindeer! I’m so happy. 🙂
In the afternoon, daddy and mama went to print some documents at daddy’s workplace as our printer was broken by some mysterious hands (actually, mine!) After a nap at daddy’s workplace, I had a blast rolling the huge gym ball.
Lastly, there’s a good thing that came from the stomach flu — my double eyelid showed up, at least on my left eye. So, one year after my due date, my handsomization process continues. (warning: a magnifier might be necessary to see my double eyelid.)
