Jonathan and the Blue Bird

Mama took me out for a walk this morning. After a few rainy days, the weather was great. I’ve grown up so much that I can now sit on a bench and let mama put the shoes on my feet. The first interesting thing I saw was the bumblebee drinking nectar from the flowers in front of our house. Then we walked to the red house, because that’s where the cat lived.

On the way, I found an orange tree, and I tried to pick the orange. But mama told me that it’s our neighbor’s not ours.

At the red house, rather than seeing the cat, we saw the blue bird flying in the shrub fence. Wow the red house is pretty cool! The bird flew to the roof, and then back to the shrub, and then back again to the roof, and on and on.

We enjoyed gazing at it for quite a while; but before you knew it, mama saw something moving on the ground. Of course! it was THE tiger tom CAT walking just a foot from me. It was as lazy as ever. All it did was to lie down, roll, lick, scratch, and yawn! Mama said that it was sleepy, and I should take a nap too.

By the way, since yesterday I’ve been able to say ccccc cat cat, not ga~ ga~ anymore. Another step to the big boyhood. 😀

In the evening, we went to Borders, and mama bought Origami to make paper art for me. Yesterday mama made me a doll from a ball and a washcloth. I liked it so much that I showed it to daddy and Cris many many times. I then kept it in my lightning car — keeping it so well that we couldn’t find it this morning.

At Borders, I also found a fun flashing ball. And…I didn’t expect to find a dog in a bookstore. It was a nice dog.

I’m now quite used to daddy being out to work, but when I see him, I’m still happy. Like two days ago, we went to pick up daddy. I was walking up the steps to the purple flowers, but it turned out that at the top of the staircase was daddy! I was so surprised that I fell on my butt, with mouth wide open. How embarrassing, but it’s worth it ‘coz daddy is here. Better have a happy family with both mama and daddy around than to save my pride.

Note from mama: Jonathan, you let me see the bugs in the tree and birds in the sky flying back to their trees. This morning (Jan 14), after spotting lots of birds in the sky, you walked daddy and mama to the cat’s house in front of the red house. You did remember where the lazy tiger tomcat lived. My life with you has allowed me to discover my inner-child once again. 🙂 <3 Love you forever.
